Academy Governing Board

Volunteering as a Governor

James Brindley is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our unique educational provision as a Community Governor.  Being a governor is a highly rewarding experience and you will make a real difference to the lives of the young people who attend here.

The Governing Board is well established.  We are particularly looking to appoint someone skilled in procurement, premises management, legal or HR.  Priorities for James Brindley currently include planning for future growth, achieving financial sustainability and developing a curriculum that enables our young people to achieve their potential.  If your skills complement our priorities, we would like to hear from you.

Meetings are generally held at Head Office on Bell Barn Road, B15 2AF from 5pm - 7pm.  Please be aware that you will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and will need to be eligible to be a trustee.

If you’re interested in joining us please contact Jo Murgatroyd, our Company Secretary at murgatroydj@jamesbrindley.org.uk for further details.
