When pupils are with us for a few days or more, we will liaise with home schools to ensure pupils are being educated in line with their own school curriculum. For our regular re-admits, staff liaise with home-school, developing an effective working relationship to enable our pupils to make progress whilst they are on the ward.  In most cases, for our regular re-attenders, work will be provided by the child’s home-school and our staff will deliver lessons to ensure these tasks are being completed to the best of the pupil's ability. The home-school is then kept informed and updated on the child’s progress during their stay.

At Heartlands Hospital, lessons are offered from a range of curriculum areas such as English, Maths, ICT/Computer Science, Art and Science.
